DocMan 10 is a simple to use document management system designed for use with Microsoft Office. It integrates with Microsoft Office, allowing and encouraging users to save their work in a consistent and uniform way across the entire organisation. Through the use of custom pre-defined file stores or filing cabinets users are presented with a number of domain specific pick lists which allow files to be stored appropriately without users having to worry about the file system underneath.
For example, Solicitors often have a simple three layer filing system: Fee Earner - > Work Type - > Client. The user picks an item from each list drilling down to the appropriate store without knowing anything about the underlying file system.
DocMan presents a standard interface in Word, Excel and Outlook allowing the end users to become familiar with the interface from the various applications and one filing structure to be used throughout.
DocMan also provides it's own Windows Shell integration allowing for use with non-Microsoft Office applications through the right mouse button context menu or DocMan's own interface. It also provides a simple search facility allowing you to search for files by name.
There are also a number of optional extras for Word which help with the day to day work including:
PRINTMAN - Easily print multiple copies of a document to different printers and / or trays. Send one copy to a printer set up with headed paper, another to a different printer with plain paper or one to different trays with one click in Word.
TEMPLATE LETTERS and PARAGRAPHS - Easy to maintain templates, paragraphs and phrases for global use within the company.
