In February 2002 Laserform introduced a new software module to complement the existing LegalAccounts application– Matter Manager.
This module is fully integrated with the Laserform LegalAccounts software, Laserforms Forms and Microsoft Outlook giving the user whether Fee Earner, Support Staff or Accounts a single application that will provide all the core functions for both front office and back office.
Matter Manager’s particular strength is its flexibility. As well as providing the capability for fully generic Case Management, including conditionalised Workflows and the automatic allocation of tasks, it can also be utilized as a simple document production and Matter History system. This allows for a smooth and gradual transition from paper based systems to full Case Management, and also allows your firm to tailor the system to suit your way of working for each type of matter.
Most importantly, in the current conveyancing climate, Matter Manager is already utilizing XML technology, the technology which has been earmarked by the Land Registry as being the chosen method of importing and exporting data for e-conveyancing. This technology can also be used to facilitate HIPs data.
