Opera II Demo Data Update Problem
If demo data has not been updated with the new NI\Tax dates and details this can be overcome by downloading and restoring demo data provided by Gower Business Systems.
If you use the data in your demo data system for training or simlar you should take a backup of it to allow you to restore later as it will be overwritten by the data provided.
1. Download and save a copy of GBS demo data using the link bellow. Save to a PC with a working copy of Opera II on. Take a note of the location you save to : DemoDataBackup
2. Launch Opera and logon as Manager.
3. Ensure everyone except yourself is out of Opera.
4. Restore the data. In Opera II go to:
Admin -> System -> Utilities -> Restore
5. A restore wizard will start, click next on the first screen.
6. On the next screen alter the restore from location so that the folder selected is where you saved the downloaded Demo data.
7. Click Next
8. Select the backup from the list, it should be the only one but if there are others select the file named:
Backup20100330155731, Opera II V6.80 Backup of Co. [Z] 30/03/2010 15:57
9. Click Next
10. Click Start and confirm you want to restore the backup.
11. Once this has completed you will be able to copy the NI\Tax tables from the demo system in Opera in the normal way.
